Trident's Policy on Junior Sailors' Kit
Trident have manufactured and provided Sailingwear in the Junior sizes for many years, and realised the importance of ensuring the youngsters have only the best in terms of design, materials and looking good.
We all want them to enjoy sailing and providing the correct kit is a very important in achieving this aim. They will learn faster and gain confidence if they know they can get wet, fall in without getting cold.

So whether you are just introducing them to sailing as a new fun hobby or your youngsters are out on the race track training and racing hard - ensure they are dressed in the best !

Trident's Junior Dinghy Kit is the same as the Adult's in terms of quality and design and well tested by the Junior Team Trident.

A Bit of History
David and Jackie Gebhard of Trident-UK, with seven children, realised very quickly the importance of dressing their Juniors in the correct Kit, and now have a family who sail and race hard at all levels of competition

And everyone should remember most important ingredient to Junior Sailing is a Great Big Smile !!

What Size ?
We have provided a size chart to act as a guide for the size to buy, and here is some advice.
Points to take into consideration -

Drysuits - if you buy a Back Zip suit we can provide extra body length, leg and arm extensions -
£35 per area of extension (ie 2 leg extensions - £35)

Wetsuits - the neoprene is so stretchy if the wetsuit is slightly on the big side it will still probably give a good fit and any extra length in arms and legs can just be rolled back, and extra body length can just be rolled over at the waist.

Dinghy Tops - because the fabric is so light and flexible a size a bit on the big side tends not to get in the way once the wrist cuffs are in the right place.

Buoyancy Aids - probably best to go for the right size here - two reasons

• if it is too big the Junior might slip out of it in the water

• it will be big clumbersome and in the way - which could be uncomfortable and prevent the youngster moving quickly etc
