How to Check Over Your Drysuit
for the new Season
Seals
Latex -

Are there any small slits at the edges of the seals ? - these could could
tear when you next put the suit on - (often at
the most inappropriate moment - when you are in a hurry !! ) and will need
replacing at soon.
Are they sticky ? - this is a sign of them breaking down and
perishing - but you can sometimes extend the life of them for a period by
using
303 Seal Protectant - however they will need replacing.
Neoprene -
these might be "hardish" with reduced stretch - they need to be left soaking
in warm water and this will help their
suppleness to return
Tapes
Check over the seams and tapes, check they are stuck down and there are no
little slits on the edge of the tapes were the coating may have split - if
you see any of these a little dab of
Stormsure will seal the hole
Zip

Make sure it is clean and free running no grit or dirt in the
teeth - using
Zip Care will help clean and protect it for the
new season
Fabric
Hopefully it will have been stored clean free from dirt, salt and
perspiration.
The
Drysuit/Wetsuit Shampoo - might be a good idea to give a nice
clean start to the season
